Welcome to the web site of Depew Orthodontics. Located in Kennesaw and Acworth, Georgia, Dr. Doug Depew specializes in providing quality orthodontic treatment for children, teens and adults.

Incognito™ braces
Incognito braces are placed behind your teeth so no one will know you are receiving orthodontic treatment unless you tell them. These braces are 100% customized to ensure you receive optimal orthodontic results.
SmartClip™
SmartClip brackets utilize (sliding-door) technology known as “self-ligation,” enabling the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket. This technology creates less friction, results in greater comfort and reduces treatment time.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Doug Depew has maintained a thriving orthodontic practice in Kennesaw, Georgia since 1990. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia. He received his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he graduated at the top of his class. His certificate in orthodontics and master's degree was earned from Baylor College of Dentistry at Baylor University. His pursuit of excellence is exemplified by numerous achievements and awards.
Dr. Depew and his wife, Vicki, have three wonderful children, Andrew, Ashley and Ryan. And in his spare time, he enjoys working with his horses, computers and outdoor activities.
Dr. Depew is also the founder and Academic Director of Trapezio, which provides formal training for orthodontic staff members. This innovative program which is conducted online and through hands-on clinical sessions is endorsed by the American Association of Orthodontists and is recognized internationally as the standard for training and certification of orthodontic staff members. As the program creator, Dr. Depew is frequently invited to speak at professional meetings around the country and overseas.
Meet Our Staff
Scheduling Coordinator
Emily has worked for Depew Orthodontics since April 2012. She graduated from Paulding County High School in 2003. Before joining our team, she worked in the billing office of a local family medical practice for five years. Emily has been married for eight years to her husband Nick, and they have two sons. Emily loves being a mother, spending time with her family and going to the lake. She says she is truly honored to be a part of such an exceptional team and enjoys getting to meet new people every day and seeing all the beautiful smiles
New Patient Coordinator
Shannon has worked for Depew Orthodontics since 2001. She is Academy of Orthodontic Assisting Certified (AOAC) and was also a patient of Dr. Depew's when she was in high school! She enjoys spending time with her family and going to UGA football games. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know amazing new people each and every day.
Front Desk Coordinator
Brenda has worked in the field of orthodontics for 14 years and has been a team member at Depew Orthodontics since 2007. She and her husband, John, have two sons, Damon and Brandon. Brenda enjoys baking, yard work and reading. The most rewarding part of her job is getting to know the parents and watching beautiful smiles be transformed.
Records and Sterilization Coordinator
Ashetin has worked with Depew Orthodontics since 2009. She graduated from East Paulding High School and also attended Georgia Highlands College for one year. Ashetin is also Academy of Orthodontic Assistant Certified (AOAC). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Also, she enjoys exercising, playing volleyball and softball. Working with Dr. Depew and her fellow team members has been one of her best experiences, and she can honestly say that she loves her job.
Orthodontic Assistant
Karen has worked in the dental field since 1996 and began orthodontics in 2005. She was born and raised in Medina, Ohio and relocated to Atlanta in May 2007. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 13 years, and they have two wonderful boys and a dog named Sandie. When she is not working, Karen spends most of her time at the baseball field with her sons. Her favorite part about working for Depew Orthodontics is the happiness and smiles you get from giving kids and adults a straight and beautiful smile.
Orthodontic Assistant
Brittney has been with Depew Orthodontics since April 2006 and has also been working with the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting since 2007. Brittney enjoys reading good books and spending time with her friends, family and her dog, Elly. Interacting with patients, helping them to feel as excited as she is about undergoing treatment and giving the best care possible are her favorite parts of her job.
Orthodontic Assistant
Maegan has worked with Depew Orthodontics since June 2008. She graduated from Paulding County High School and is Academy of Orthodontic Assisting Certified (AOAC). Maegan loves to play women/co-ed softball, ride four-wheelers and spend time with her husband, Corey and her little girl, Brystol. Her favorite parts about working for Depew Orthodontics are the interaction she has with the patients and how their lives change with the transformation of a smile!
Orthodontic Assistant and Lab Technician
Peg has worked with Depew Orthodontics since 2000. Peg has worked in the orthodontic industry for over 25 years. She went to school for two years for dental assisting in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is Academy of Orthodontic Assisting Certified (AOAC) and has also completed the Lingual Braces Certification. She enjoys golfing, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband, Tom, and their three children: Peter, Cathy and Caroline. Her favorite part about working for Depew Orthodontics is impacting people’s lives in a positive way.
DeeDee has worked with Depew Orthodontics since March 2013. She has one son, Nick and loves spending time with him, her boyfriend Charles and his children. She enjoys fishing and being on the water. As Marketing Coordinator, she works closely with the community, the schools and the referring dentists. She loves her job, working with a wonderful staff of people and seeing the patients gorgeous smiles.
